This is rated for 18mths+, but I found it way to difficult for my 18month old son to figure out. The blocks have to be oriented in a specific way in relation to each other in order for them to stick together and an 18mth old child just doesn't have that sense of reason or problem solving. Even I find I have trouble putting blocks together to make anything other than yet another tower of blocks. He was bored with it after a couple of minutes and hasn't looked at it since. Though, I do have to commend Hasbro for making something this durable, my son uses the table as a step stool to get himself into trouble, and there's so sign of cracks or bends in the plastic.
I think it'll be put into storage and pulled out when he's older and able to appreciate a toy like this. The recommended age group is WAY off.
