I know Echo Beach wasn't officially a success and only one series was made but I loved it and loved seeing the scenes of Looe and Watergate Bay in Cornwall. Jason Donovan is still gorgeous! Moving Wallpaper was one of the funniest things on TV and complemented Echo Beach really well.

Echo Beach and Moving Wallpaper, seperatly I would rate Moving Wallpaper 5/5 and Echo Beach 3/5 so overall I went for 4/5.

Moving Wallpaper is a great, initative and witty comedy. Well put together this comedy provides many laughs and is a joy to watch. Ben Miller is excellent as producer Jonathen Pope, with his excellent mix of stupidness and funniness he fits in so well with his mis-cap set of writters. All the cast fit well together and the perfect mix of need to write scripts and trivial events provides laughs a plenty throughout the episodes. A pure joy.

Then you go on to Echo Beach, it goes well with Moving Wallpaper but on its own as a soap I dont think it would make it. The storylines can be quite weak and pointless, and without a star studded cast, sexy scenes and the views of Cornwall I dont think anyone would have tuned in to watch this. Although it wasn't really bad it could have done with improvement.

Overall, I reccomend buying this boxset because you will get an excellent comedy, and as an accomplice a soap which is good to watch.

Moving Wallpaper and Echo Beach were an unlikely set of programmes for a Friday evening on ITV. I think that too many viewers separated Echo Beach which was broadcast straight after the Moving Wallpaper slot and saw them as different programmes rather than a unique experiment. It's great that they flow together on the DVD so all of the jokes carried from one programme to the other are very clear whether its a prop or a line. The cast of Echo Beach were brave to play it for straight and its a shame that more people missed out and the treat. Worth getting on DVD to watch at your convenience but allow a full hour each time in order to see the pair of programmes.

Echo Beach is pretty much drival, but Moving Wallpaper is the funniest, and best written, comedy ITV have come up with for years.

I'd buy Moving Wallpaper on it's own, but the humour is amplified by watching how the events in Moving Wallpaper impact on Echo Beach. Even the most casual comments in Moving Wallpaper can have a knock on effect on Echo Beach, and looking out for these hilarious tie-ins is the only reason to watch the soap itself.

Love "Moving wallpaper"! It's witty, mean an times but mostly hillariously funny. Echo beach I only watch to see what the "editors" have created. Otherwise it is a little boring, but I suppose that's what the makers wanted to bring across. Worth watching for pure entertainment if you want to relax and not concentrate much.

Brilliant and brilliantly original. I think it's one of the most creative and well executed ideas that has happened to British comedy for a long time. The soap is brilliant when considered next to the moving wallpaper, and the latter is classic comedy. Fantastic casting, great writing and even better portrayals of writers. It's just a shame that it didn't go to a second series.
