These cantatas are delightful, full of joyous bouyancy and melodic invention and freshness. The soprano Lia Serafini and the contralto Gabriella Martellacci are decent interpreters, although monotonous in their coloration and intonation, and certainly nothing to write home about. What makes this Cd almost unlistenable is the quality of the recorded sound, which is highly reverberant, especially in the first 2 cantatas (the engineers probably wanted to create a spacious sound, but it is in reality quite annoying and really unlistenable). The cantatas are accompanied by 2 instrumental sonatas à 3, which are delightful and well performed.
