Designed from the ground up for consoles, it is a fusion of next-gen technology, superior design and first-class production values behind which is veteran strategy games designer Michael De Plater who's previous titles include the Total War series.

4.0 out of 5 stars It's good...but I'm not!, 29 Nov 2008

Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Tom Clancy's End War (Xbox 360) (Video Game)
After an near interminable wait, I was pleasantly surprised when End War eventually turned up. After initially trying to play the game with only the handset I was beginning wish I hadn't bothered. However when I was reminded that there was a headset still unused in my X-Box...box things became much easier and fun! I'm just not very good at it!

The control system is really good once you get the hand of it; voice recognition is pretty good and as a previous reviewer said once you get the hang of some of the maps, gameplay flows.

Although I'm sure there are better strategy games out there End War is a ood addition for the uninitiated. A very enjoyable blast even if I do feel a bit of a tool taking to the tv screen!

5.0 out of 5 stars Confusing.., 17 Feb 2009

Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Tom Clancy's End War (Xbox 360) (Video Game)
This game is fun, don't get me wrong.

But there is one main feature that this game lacks, I, for one, played this game and thought it was rather good, played a couple of missions and seemed to 'get' the game.

But after a few hours of play, I still don't know half of the commands, it seems to introduce alot more every mission, but doesn't explain them.

3.0 out of 5 stars Tom Clancy's Endwar Review, 1 Mar 2009
By K. L. Prasad - See all my reviews

Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Tom Clancy's End War (Xbox 360) (Video Game)
Endwar is a strategy RTS on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC that takes place in a near future world war 3. The story is set in a world of declining resources, where Russia is the worlds leading superpower, and Europe and America have split their alliance. Russia, now the world largest producer of oil and natural gas, uses its' new found wealth to build a huge army, while America starts a space project called the Freedom Star, a satellite that will ensure American safety. Meanwhile, Europe has built the Shield, a set of energy shield that protects the world from nuclear war. However, when the Freedom Star is blown up on liftoff, and Copenhagen is attacked, America and Europe start a war, before realising that it is Russia that is behind the attacks. With the world now locked in a savage war, you come in.
Endwar is a slightly repetitive game, and only offers a few units. Although it has a solid multiplayer, the campaign has no story apart from the intro, and often you will get bored of doing the same, repetitive tasks with the same units again and again. However, this is spiced up by Endwars' voice command system. This works flawlessly, and is a nice addition to an otherwise average game. The graphics are good, and the frame rate is always maintained at a good speed. The level of detail is stunning, and you can zoom all the way down and see the battle from the soldiers views. You can even see their faces and individual equipment. Also, the multiplayer has a unique feature called the Theater Of War. This is an ongoing WW3, where you pick your side, customize your army and fight on ever changing frontlines. The results of the battles faught during the day are added up at the end of the day, and then the war continues, with countries gaining or loosing territories. Over all a well balanced game, but one that lacks a motive and variety. Not a game to set your heart on, but a nice addition if you've got money to spare.
OVERALL: 7/10
