Synopsis

Thomas Magnum (Tom Selleck) is a private investigator who works as part of a security team in the palatial mansion of millionaire businessman Robin Masters. Using his luxurious surroundings as his base, Magnum runs a daily battle with various criminals as he seeks to track them down and report their illicit activities. However, he also faces a constant battle with the caretaker of Masters' estate, Jonathan Higgins (John Hillerman), particularly when Magnum zooms off in the 308 GTS Ferrari that has been left at his disposal! It all adds up to an action packed show from the early 1980s that manages to capture much of the fashion and excesses of the decade. This release presents the seventh series in its entirety, with Selleck masterful as the mustachioed P.I. throughout!

To me this is the best season in the show's history..
It starts with the great 2 part story L.A and ends with (at the time) the final curtain for TSM "Limbo"..but for me season 7 has my fav episode in the show..PAPER WAR
I won't spoil it but Higgins and Magnum play tricks on each other and it is a classic..I'd buy the season for this episode alone..
Thankfually though the entire season is fantastic.You can tell that a lot of time and effort was put into this season as at the time it was reported that due to it being beaten by The Cosby Show in the ratings it would be cancelled..but a switch in time and a different night it prospered..Selleck joined as a producer and spent a lot of time working on scripts to help the show and it shows.
Season 7 also containes one of the last appearances of Frank Sinatra in a major tv role...The episode "Laura" is fun to watch and ole blues eyes proves what a great actor he was.

So pull on the tigers hat,get some Coors in..get a chilli dog and sit back and enjoy one of the best tv seasons ever produce.....
