DVD Description
From the director and writer of "Akira" (1988) comes a tale of a traveling mystical doctor, a "Bugmaster' who passes through remote regions of Japan curing the ill effects of supernatural creatures, the Mushi, who spread plague.

Synopsis
Mushi are a breed of supernatural creatures that spread disease wherever they go. Trouble is, they're almost undetectable to humans, which makes defending against them that much harder. There is one man, however, who possesses the rare ability to see and interact with Mushi--a Bugmaster--who travels to the farthest reaches of Japan on a mission to cure people affected by the creatures. MUSHISHI is a live-action spin-off of the classic manga fantasy series, directed by Katsuhiro Otomo (AKIRA).
