4.0 out of 5 stars Something different, and fun to play, 19 Oct 2007
By Mr. A. J. Allum "adnalm" (England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Having seen and heard one of these instruments in the Swedish film "Brothers Lionheart," and then seeing one for sale whilst on holiday in Sweden (where it's called "Mungiga"), I just had to buy one. Beware, like all musical instruments, one needs to learn how to play them, and a little bit of practice is needed. But once you get started, there's no stopping you, and there are some inspiring videos on YouTube to aspire to! My only criticism is the end of the reed tends to hurt after a long time; there have been versions with a rounded end that are more 'finger-friendly!'

Great sound and you get both a large and small harp in the same pack. Nice one.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great harp, 23 Sep 2009
By J. Burlison (UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This is my first ever jaws harp and I didn't really know what to expect. Having played it for only a short while; I have to say that once you get the hang of it (with a little help from youtube and other sites) it's great fun to play and the possibilities for sounds you can make with it are almost endless!

The only criticism that I have is that the outer layer of paint on the part that you put against your teeth wears away pretty quickly (within about 30 minutes of playing it.) Otherwise, it is an excellent harp and I would reccomend it to anyone who wants to learn to play the jaws harp.
