5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, 18 Dec 2007
This is the first CD I've bought by Hospital Records and I was absolutely blown away. So much so, none of the other albums in the label compare. As drum and bass goes, it's tuneful, groovy and addictive. Probably the best CD I've EVER bought.

5.0 out of 5 stars Never mind the genre feel the quality !, 1 Oct 2007

Those people immediately turned off by the D n B tag should jettison their preconceptions and dive headlong into this disc.On the back of the superb double A side "If we ever/Pink Flamingoes" High Contrast (Lincoln Barrett) is back with a wonderful record full to the brim with melody, rhythm and above all a widescreen imagination. The basic rhythms of D n B are the canvas on which an artist as talented as High Contrast can strut his stuff.Another Hospital Records triumph !

5.0 out of 5 stars Old raver happy, 3 Jun 2008
By Chris Wren (UK) - See all my reviews

I love this album....... it takes me back to a time when the jungle/breakbeat sound was just emerging before the apache break took over and everything went dark.

There should be more music like this.

Strong, funky beats with great hands in the air moments.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good to get you in the mood!
Think Pendulum, but not as hard, think Fatboy Slim, but not quite so many samples. Think melodic clever drum and bass to keep your pulse up whilst driving. It rocks. Read more
