The first major soccer simulation on Nintendo DS! Due to its amazing accessibility, Real Soccer 2008 lets anyone who loves soccer set the field on fire by performing dribbles, step-overs and spectacular goals, regardless of their level. Prepare to be totally immersed as you play in larger-than-life stadiums and take on players with realistic behavior. This Nintendo DS game makes use of the system's stylus and microphone, thereby providing a user-friendly interface and a truly engrossing game experience.
· Fun and incredible soccer right from the first minutes of play: Extremely intuitive controls make it easy for you to accomplish awesome soccer feats and perform spectacular technical moves (bicycle kicks, step-overs, back-heel, flip-flap, lobs), regardless of your level.
· Innovations that truly take advantage of DS functionalities: Yell into the microphone to influence the referee's decisions, and shoot penalty kicks with the stylus on the Touch Screen.
· Vivid and immersive graphics and animation: Discover what it is like to play soccer in nine of the largest soccer stadiums, each of which has been accurately modeled from the originals, down to the smallest details (bleachers, fans, field textures, etc.). The 3D players and stadiums are accurately represented, providing you with a realistic experience.
· Advanced, dynamic artificial intelligence: Your teammates and opponents adapt to your playing style, offering never-before-seen strategy depth. You will see them run the ball, use defense pressing or even be replaced, all based on your playing decisions.

Got this as a present, I was a bit unsure how a football game would work on the DS, and after a couple of game i soon found out it doesn't work. Its just not a good game, it reminds me a bit of going back to playing a commadore 64 football game. If like me, you are used to playing Playstation/x-box football games (fifa/pro-evo), this game just cannot compare. I don't think you can really blame the makers of this game, its just that i don't think football games suit this console. I only ever played it twice, it wasn't fun or addictive.

Got this cheap and no wonder. The best parts are the training modes and the stadiums, but like many reviewers I found the unlicensed names too weird and somehow annoying.
I was no good at this and don't know whether this was the game's fault or mine. I have not tried any other footy games and did not wish to persevere with this one. Avoid.
