Product Description

CD Description

'Nothing Means Everything' is the debut album from The Dykeenies. This Scottish five-piece, made up of three brothers and two of their childhood friends, create a British indie rock sound with undertones of new wave. Overlapping guitars ring over poignant and emotive lyrics, which tell tales of real life experiences. 'Clean Up Your Eyes', one of the included singles, is an example of an autobiographical theme, whichtells the story of brothers drifting apart but eventually reuniting.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best album of 2007 so far.., 29 Sep 2007
What an incredible album, think the The Killers/Bloc Party. I challenge you to listen to 'Waithing for go' and 'Clean up your eyes' and 'Stitches' and then not buy the album, believe me, you WILL buy it. Every song is a classic.

This is definitely the best album released this year, probably the best this century. Yes, it's that good. They renewed my faith in indie music which I thought I had lost long time ago. Shame, not many people seem to have woken up to the magic they created.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Keen on the Dykeenies., 23 Sep 2007

Although I think the album gets off to a bad start with the panic, Not one song after it is bad or average they are all great. There are three mazing singles on this album (Stitches, Clean up Your eyes and new ideas.) Waiting for go is another single worthy track.

I found this album very easy to listen to. Just don't be put off by the first track.

Also try and buy straight from amazon not one of the other sellers as alot of the sellers have already brought the album resulting in the band not getting any of the money. I think they definatley deserve the support.
