1.0 out of 5 stars Not what we're waiting for, 7 April 2006
By Skunky (Sheffield, South Yorkshire United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
Bought as a wrinkly fan (in permanent mourning) from the early days who saw the band numerous times at their peak in the late seventies and who rarely has Live and Dangerous missing from the CD changer in the car. This is not the DVD version of the album that old fans are waiting for. It has different commentators, one admitting to never even seeing Thin Lizzy live, talking saying how marvellous the album/group/performances/songwriting etc was but not enough video of the band performing. The most plentiful clips are from the much used footage of the concert in Sydney which wasn't the Live and Dangerous line up but none of the clips last for more than a few moments at a time anyway.
One for the avid collector maybe but the band members talking in the interview section on the Gary Moore and friends tribute DVD is much more interesting than this. Overall disappointing as I'm sure most fans will agree we "just" want a DVD version of the album.

1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid, 15 Mar 2006
This is sickening, nothing more than a blatant cash-in by using the same title as Lizzy's classic 1978 Rainbow gig, surely long overdue a dvd re-release. Save your cash.

1.0 out of 5 stars thanks, 4 April 2006
By T. A. Grant (Worthing, West Sussex United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
the people doing this should be shot, cos i't s shameful...same being done with DP and the live in japan one.

I've got the live in australia (bad sound, bad pic quality, but damn fine example of what lizzy where like live) and the thunder and lightening one (um...john sykes...amazing, but for me it was the gorham robertson line-up that were really lizzy. even mr moore was a bit much (saw them in brighton round about 80...he was amazing and too loud :) )

thanks to the review system and reviewers which means i won't waste my money...
