Manufacturer's Description

Chalk up your cue, take to the championship table and become immersed into the world of snooker... ever watched snooker and fancied yourself as a world class player, well here if your chance. World Snooker Championship: Season 2007-08 on NDS comes up with almost 400 hours of game play and a minimum of 1,000 frames of Snooker.

Be smart and let your opponent become nervous sat fidgeting in his seat, polishing his cue, having a drink of water and waiting for you to miss so he can get back to the table.

Not enough time? Just choose the Challenge Mode for a Snooker mini game or pool while on the move. It doesn't matter which mode you play, the exclusively recorded audio commentary means World Snooker Championship: Season 2007-08 has the closest atmosphere ever. Unlock over 20 items and achievements during your career or within a frame.

Do not wait until the next Snooker season, take your cue, be gentle and play your own Snooker season, right here, right now on your Nintendo DS!

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, 19 April 2008

Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
Those looking for the true 'snooker club in your pocket ' experience should try Blade's fantastic PSP version as this DS just doesn't cut it , though that's probably partly due to the lack of DS horsepower rather than a lazy developer .
The game uses both a stylus and button push control system , but both seem over difficult to use . Attempting to line up a shot takes an age , and this isn't helped by the graphics , which are very cramped and unclear . The top screen overhead table view is also very inaccurate which makes it pretty pointless .
No wireless multiplayer of any sort and the fact that the game doesn't even tally up your break as you play round off a pretty unimpressive package .
There are many other great DS games around , only bother with this if you are desperate to play snooker on your DS !

4.0 out of 5 stars World Snooker Review., 2 May 2008
Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
In all not a bad game if you enjoy the real game of snooker and handheld sport games. The most frustrating part is waiting for the opponent to miss a shot and lining up your own shot can also be frustrating. On a plus side the balls respond fairly realistically off each other and the cussions. For the price, this is not a bad game for the snooker fan.

Totally agree with the other reviews already posted about this game. Trying to take a shot that isn't straight is very hard and means that you have to wait an age to have another go. The fact that the computer spends time thinking about a shot is just odd, and really really annoying.
If you need to waste lots of time watching a computer play snooker - i.e. you're in prison - then this game is perfect!

Leaving aside the mediocre graphics, terrible commentary and tinny sound, the core gameplay of this title simply sucks. Read more
