5.0 out of 5 stars Orchestral Manoeuvres in Iraq., 18 Sep 2007
By S. Tinsley "shaunyboy8" (Manchester, UK) - See all my reviews

I like this a lot.
Lots of strings and even more no nonsense lyrics from Ian Brown.
Brown lambasts the UK involvement in Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan.
Like the man says, "Soldiers, Soldiers, Come Home!"
It says it all really.

However, my copy only has 2 tracks on it and not 4 as stated on item description.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Classic Grower Of A Song., 17 Sep 2007
By Mr. Shane Murray (Dublin, Ireland) - See all my reviews

Whe I first heard this I was not impressed at all. Thought it started to pick up three minutes in. Ive since gave it a few listens and its grown in me no end. Loving the lyrics, " It ain't the size of the dog in the fight, It's the size of the fight in the dog". Sinead O'Connor's voice compliments Ian's well and adds a little more grace to the song. Go out and buy it today and enjoy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Typically another edgy Ian Brown phenomenon, 14 Sep 2007
By Mr. M. J. Thacker "Mr. Mystery" (Essex) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This song is a very powerful, very sentimental tour de force that interestingly remains a fairly straight-forward sounding track, yet still oozes originality and passion that is expected from this man. It has a cutting brooding vibe with it's military style stabbing bass and drums that is perfect for delivering the crystal clear message and epic sounding string arrangements that just tie this up as a unique experience.
