Video Description

A rude, wicked, hilarious and outrageous tale of three woman (who happen to be played by men) and their collective and personal trials and tribulations within and without the Hollywood machine. Coco (Clinton Leupp) has dreams of reconnecting with the dreamy doctor that performed her first and second abortions. She's the constant recipient of verbal pummeling by her very evil, very drunk and very horny roommate Evie (Jack Plotnick), a delusional over-the-hill actress who will do just about anything to get back in the biz. And then there is the ravenous Varla (Jeffery Roberson aka Varla Jean Merman) who follows suit with unlikely aspirations and demons of her own. Girls will Be Girls was written and directed by Richard Day, one of the lead writers for the superb satire "The Larry Sanders Show."


Synopsis

GIRLS WILL BE GIRLS tells the story of three drag queens who are all Hollywood actresses at various stages in their careers. For them, it's all about indulging their egos as they shamelessly flounce around town, chasing that ever-elusive spotlight, and trampling anyone who gets in their way. Written and directed by Richard Day, this is a hilarious, outrageous tale of back-stabbing, debauchery, and the pursuit of fame.

Blatant and crude are the first words that come to mind when thinking about this movie. But in the best possible sense of the words.

Basic plot: Evie (washed up actress) shares a home with Coco (occupation...unknown). Evie allows a new person, Varla, to come live with them. Her mother was an actress who was always in competition with Evie, who's career ended under suspicious circumstances.

All the men are played by men, all the woman are played by...men. But I don't want you to think this is just another 'drag' movie. They all get into character so well that you look past the actors portraying them, and see only the unusual characters they have created.

With a good mixture of crude jokes, slaptick and interesting interior design, this movie will make anyone laugh.

When I bought this it was in the Gay catagory and should have been in the slapstic catagory. It was utter rubish from the start.......
