Does what it says on the - er - caddy. I've used it for a month or more and the filter works - it doesn't smell. Functional and inexpensive.

I bought the compost caddy after the other scrap collecting box I had used to stink the kitchen out all the time! This caddy not only holds so much more, but because of the filters, which last up to 4 months, there are no nasty niffs. Excellent!
