5.0 out of 5 stars Kinski - 'Down Below It's Chaos' (Sub Pop), 12 May 2009
Believe this effort to be Kinski's third title on the Sub Pop label. Noticed that 'Down Below It's Chaos' is mostly instrumental, with a limited amount of vocals here and there. Starts off with a decent enough instrumental "Crybaby Blowout". Next up is an all-out heavy rocker "Passwords & Alcohol", the well-played psychedelic "Day Room At Narita Int'l", the jamming "Boy, Was I Mad", the guitar-ripping "Child Has A Train To Catch", the stunning atmospheric "Plan, Steal, Drive" {sort of reminds me of Hawkwind, possibly the disc's best cut} and the fantastic nine-minute head-tripping epic "Silent Biker Type". After my brain stops spinning and catches up with the rest of my body, I'm going to seriously attept to listen to this CD again. Highly recommended.

been into kinski for a while and they seem to vary between experimental weirdness and fantastic melodic post-rock thrashing, post-rock doesn't mean a great deal anymore so easier to say they just rock - the riffs, the licks, the sometimes noodle bits - fun and very, very loud

I've only heard one track from this album, which you can hear free at the subpop site, it is classic kinski and follows on from Alpine Static, it seems the rest of the album, of which I've heard samples continues this strong showing.

Roll on 20th August... oh and order it from subpop before it is released and you get a free live cd!

this is a brilliant album ... new direction but still "KINSKI" you have to give them credit .... they never let you down
