Product Description

Super Jonroth Old English Staffordshire Ware plate. This was made in Staffordshire, England by the Adams Potteries imported exclusively for My Old Kentucky Home, Bardstown, Kentucky. Believe that this plate was made by Ridgway (Bedford works), and this Jonroth piece would have been made for the American firm of John H Roth & Co from somewhere between the 1930's and 1956. Plate is beautifully decorated with a picture of My Old Kentucky Home - Where Stephen Collins Foster wrote the immortal song. The back of the plate is marked with Jonroth England, and has the music for 'the sun shines bright in my old kentucky home. Pictures of the back are available on request. Plate measures 10 inches (25 cm) in diameter, and weighs unpackaged 560 grammes.
