WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 will let players take the fight into their own hands with the debut of Superstar Fighting Styles. The game features eight unique styles, each having its own strategy and exclusive attributes. A brand new Struggle Submission System will give players intuitive and natural control over their WWE Superstars by using the game’s popular analog controls. Realism and strategy are at the forefront, as players will now control the amount of pressure they apply to their opponents. In addition, WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 will feature a significant Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) presence, including a variety of Superstars, arenas and weapons.

The game is also packed with significant updates requested by fans, including new rosters, more environmental hotspots, a combined Season and General Manager Mode experience, improved out-of-ring action, enhanced online community support and much more. The Nintendo DS version of the video game will offer a unique game play experience, including touch screen control over Superstars, situation-based fighting with unique holds and a full year of nonstop action in WWE Season Mode.

the game is very good. the graphics are amazing for psp. The season is really good because after wrestlemania you carry on into the next year. a little bit too much repetativity but not too bad. Also you can move over from smackdown and raw in the season. There are a lot of game options money in the bank included, unfortunately no special refferee. Dx and other real life stables are in it as well. you can unlock ledgends and ecw ledgends. you can create stables, championships, wrestlers/divas- created wrestlers often come out looking weird if you play as them in a match also you do not have many layers available. You can win King of the ring and then choose a queen which is alot of fun. There are other tournaments like beat the clock tournament which is also good. if you have the money i would get it!!!

this game, just like any other wrestling game, can be great fun either by yourself or with friends. The variety of matches is a large spread, including the new ecx extreme rules match, which ads new weapons to the match. The 24/7 mode has an intriguing story, and can last a while. Unfrortunately, the story gets quite repetitive after you play through the first year. Probably the biggest flaw (in my opinion) is the amount of loading. I'd have to say that about 60% of the gameplay is waiting for the loading to finish. However, all games need to load, and since so much information is packed into the small umd, it is forgiveable. The create modes are also very good, offering create modes for: superstars/divas/move sets/entrances/stables/championships. Overall, i find it a good, entertaining game with a long life span and great variety in game modes.
