A great experimental album that can only really be compared with Byrne's and Eno's "My Life in the Bush of Ghosts". Reininger has taken field recordings, many of which feature priests speaking in tongues, and turned them into swirling, bleeping, gliding pieces. A particular favorite has to be "Throatsinging", in which the word "Reshdeno" is used. My family has been using the term ever since. Funnily enough, Reininger's band, Tuxedomoon, though still brilliant, now sounds more "mainstream" than his solo work. My only complaint is that the album should have been a little longer.
