5.0 out of 5 stars A must for TDF fans, 2 Dec 2008
By Mr. G. Lewis "lewisg1947" (England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Great viewing and a must for all TDF fans to watch. The early footage makes you realise how relatively easy todays riders have got it.
The seperate bios of the top riders is very well put together and makes very interesting viewing. If you have an interest in Le Tour make sure you get this. Sean Kelly is not the most entertaining commentator to listen to but I will forgive him that after his fabulous career in cycling.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great DVD ..., 28 Oct 2008
By Mark H. Maliniak (London) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I am a keen cyclist and enjoy the spectacle of the tour de france. The early history is interesting and full of some interesting characters.
I only gave it 4 stars - simply because of Sean Kellys awefully segments. For the most part its good old Phil doing the commentary!
If you like cycling and like the tour - then get it!

1.0 out of 5 stars the boring tour, 23 Jan 2010
By Belle Epoque (Sydney Australia) - See all my reviews
The DVD was very disappointing. Every year I watch the tour and sit on the edge of my seat thanks to the wonderful commentary by Phil Liggett. There's no Phil on this DVD, there is no thrilling exciting commentary.
