    I took my Thermos back to the shop today after trying to use it four times. It leaked the first time. Because there is the need to tighten two parts very tight. The main problem is hot drinks cool within 3 hours! It's a classic bad design. I have had other stainless steel products with no problems keeping drinks hot for 8 hours. Having two screwed parts means more heat loss. You can feel the warmth from the outer side as soon as it's filled. Any warmth escaping obviously means it will cool inside. I trusted the name that's why I bought it but it has completely dissallusioned me. Another UK brand sold out to incompetence. They must have known as soon as the first ones were made. If this product does not ruin the company I will be surprised. The reason I used it again after it failed the first time is because I trusted Thermos and could not believe it's poor performance.

    I bought this for taking soup to work but after three leaks I've given up. The screw thread for connecting the larger part of the top to the flask is poorly designed and even when you think you've got it properly sealed it'll still leak. A great disappointment.

    I've been using mine daily for a few weeks now and am very pleased with it. I make tea with milk first thing in the morning and it's still hot after 6 hours. The wider opening is good for adding and removing the tea bags (and for washing) and the smaller opening is perfect for pouring. Mine get's opened for pouring four or five times during the 6 hours but the tea is still hot until the end (should have got the next size up as I run out of tea before the end of the day!).

    Do the lid up nice and tight and it doesn't leak even when it's on it's side. Remember to heat it up with hot water for a few minutes before use as per the instructions. Easy to clean. I'd recommend!
