I came across this album on the melodic rock.com web site. It had recieved a great review so i took a chance & ordered it. The album sounds very american "FM radio`ish" think Rick Springfield, The Outfield, Toto styles & you`ll be in the ballpark. The guitar sounds are big & this album reminded me of Newmans "Sign Of The Modern Times" album [ well worth tracking down by the way]This album has a nice crisp production & some great playing. The songs are well crafted allthough the middle of the album gets a bit samey. Fav tracks for me are "I`ll Never Fall" "I Got A Thing For you" "I Can`t Cry"- very much like John Waites missing you- "This Moment" "In This Life". Europe is producing some great talents in the AOR field & Stan Bush is obviousley one of these talents as this album proves. If you like your Rock/Metal commercial & singable then give this a go.

Is this as good as the Melodic AOR revelation that was Shine? No. Not even close in fact. Actually in many respects it has a lot more in common with 2001's "Language Of The Heart" than "Shine". However, Stan Bush has yet again turned in a highly competent slab of AOR that continues to make you wonder why he's never really broken the glass ceiling of the genre.

The songwriting isn't quite as finely crafted as "Shine", and the songs won't quite stick in your mind as readily, but still this is a very worthy purchase. The production is clean and crisp, and if you like Melodic AOR (I'm talking about the likes of Journey, Toto, etc.) you're not going to be disappointed.

As for the addition of the updated "Touch" and the new Transformers-related song (it was submitted for the film, but rejected), they're an understandable attempt to raise the record's (and Bush's) profile, but largely forgettable.
