I noticed that none of the other reviews here actually tell you anything about the music other than 'its absolutely brilliant'. So here's a more analytical view. Well, it is a very strong CD, and they gave a bravuro live performance the other week to about 60 of us in Aldershot which can't be easy when you're used to performing to 'Live Earth South Africa' in their home country (even if the lead singer's gestures and scary eyes would have looked better at a distance of 100 yards rather than 10 feet...)

So, to the music. There's nothing startlingly innovative here, other than perhaps the singing thourgh a megaphone thing in RadioControlled Robot. (I do have a penchant for megaphone singing). It's very polished 'big' guitar driven rock, touches of mid period U2, early Radiohead (spot the Creep chord sequence in 'Beautiful'), Coldplay, the Killers, and the lead vocals bring the Finn Brothers (Crowded House) to mind, as do the well-crafted, very tuneful songs. So if those references appeal, you will enjoy this a lot. Will they break the UK? I suspect they need a big single, and probably heavy Radio 2 airplay, so it's long shot; even if on this evidence, they certainly deserve to be better known outside SA.

Caught this band by accident when they supported the excellent Starsailor in Sheffield. They played a wonderful live set so I bought this album at the gig and it doesn,t disappoint. They are definitely worth a listen - fans of alternative rock should love this.

This band is quite easily the best band I have ever heard. Not one of the songs on this album is less than awesome. They are refeshingly different,and have a unique approach to thier music.
They are also a fanstastic group of guys. This album will in no way leave you dissapointed, and its not the type of album which you will get sick of.
if you love this album, show your support and get the new alum too, its just as good if not better this album!
