Synopsis

Standup comedian Ray Romano stars as Ray Barone, a successful sportswriter who lives a comfortable life with his wife and kids. I first saw this on Channel 4, in the morning before setting of before college. I never thought I'd end up liking it so much, that I'd make it part of my daily routine.
Ray Romano stars as Raymond, the man with all the luck compared to his brother Robert who's life is a failure. Hance the title Everybody Loves Raymond.
Ray is married and has 3 children and his parents live across the road, much to the annoyance of his wife Debra.
The is a comedy about family life, something that most of us can relate too, making it more funny.
There is some great one liners and word play, aswell as the odd bit of physical comedy from Brad Garrett (Robert).
It originally took me a while to get into it, but once I was in the zone I could relate it to things in my life. Each character in the family is completely different and hillarious in their own way, leading to some hillarious situations.
The 8th season catches the show still in it's peak.It is a must see, simply excellent. There are also extras on the DVD too, including a few commentaries and bloopers.
Just buy it!

Every morning, while trying to get out of bed, I flick over the channel to see what's on, particularly when that dithering mumbling fool on BBC's breakfast gets too much to take (usually after approximately 3 minutes - no names but you all know the guy I mean) and usually there is 'Everybody loves Raymond'.
Let me clue you in - NOBODY loves 'Everybody loves Raymond', mostly because its completely unfunny - horrible characters that are totally unbelievable, poor, wooden acting, constant arguments between clearly unrelated 'family' members that are based on lies, cruelty and deception - all in all AVOID like the plague. The one star is because its compulsory - given a choice it would have received none from me.

I purchased this DVD and series 9 and I returned them as they were no longer needed, however, I returned both the DVD's and I only received the money back for one of the DVD's.... despite email contact, I still have yet to receive the payment for the returned item! A VERY UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER
