Unconditionally mighty and varied selection of instrumental tunes from a young band who wield a passionate empathy with the roots of the music while imbuing it with genuine wit, verve and clear-sighted inventiveness. James Delarre's fiddle playing is a constant thrill but from the gypsy jazz stylings to rural sound effects and samples, it's beauty is in the detail.

This is an excellent record steeped in atmosphere. It evokes a bygone age and yet sounds very fresh. Kind of like the wicker man soundtrack crossed with Portuguese group Madredeus. Plus my brother produced it!
