Excellent music phone from Sony, 3 Jul 2007
This is my first mobile phone purchase and I'm delighted with it. The touchscreen features are excellent and very intuitive. The Walkman music features are also easy to use. Playing tunes can be controlled from the screen or via buttons on the front and side of the phone. There's also a handy scroll button on the side which makes menu navigation a breeze. The bundled PC suite is very simple to install and setup. You'll be listening to your fav tunes in no time at all. You also cannot beat the built-in storage of 4GB. This means plenty of room for media files. Note however that this cannot be upgraded. In summary a fab phone for people who want a joint phone/iPod device with simple to use controls and a great touch screen.

Sony Ericsson - W950i, 22 Feb 2007
The phone works superbly, not had any trouble with it as of yet.
If you love your Camera phones then I don't see a problem with you not getting this phone and I shall tell you why.
You get a USB Connecter with it, so if you have pictures on your computer you can easily transfer them to your phone, plus Bluetooth on this phone is outstanding, I transferred all my old pictured from my other phone to this one and the quality is excellent, you will be Very surprised.
The music is also outstanding, I think the best thing for me is, no more buying ring tones for ridicules prices, if you have lots of music on your computer, just transfer them with the CD Disc that you get with the phone, on to your phone and now you can use the music on your phone as your ring tone and you can send them via Bluetooth, so now you can send them to your mates for nothing.
I always expect the worse from anything and I did with this phone, I thought it was too good to be true. It is a wonderful phone and the graphics are quite good too.
I have nothing but praise for this phone. 10/10

Great phone with many killer applications , 20 Jul 2007
I bought my W950i to replace a t-mobile mda II compact with a dodgy speaker. Although I'd never call myself an expert on smartphones or PDA's I have lived with one for over a year now.
The W950i is a great phone; I love the way it looks and feels, the Symbian OS is great, the jog wheel is fantastic, the touch screen is amazing (can't imagine life without it), the sharpness, colour and contrast of the screen, the visual on-screen transitions and effects, the return of WALKMAN (the king of personal audio) the music player looks, sounds and feels great to use, the contacts and calendar facilities, the fantastic video player. I love the awesome Opera web browser (installed as standard). Dragging your finger across the touchscreen causes the whole screen to scroll - essential for viewing large web pages on small screen devices (for me this is the ultimate KILLER APP on this phone!).
Things that the W950i could really do with; a reset button (most smartphones/PDA's lock up sometimes, I've had to disconnect the battery a couple of times after lock ups - it could be avoided), the keypad action is a little stiff at times, the keylock doesnt de-activate the Walkman start/stop button on the side of the phone (a few embarrassing moments there).
Overall I am very pleased with this phone, no camera but I don't need one anyway, no memory expansion slot but I'm struggling to fill the phone's 4Gb memory capacity why would I need any more?
This phone is packed with so many features, definitely worth the money!
