Cocaine Kid - song of the year so far. The best way to put Dubya in perspective is to parody him and this does it superbly.
His previous album (The Waitress) was very and brilliantly "Americana" - impoverished war veterans, diamond theft, mall arrests, handsome preachers disposed of in dark Southern woods. This album has those fine elements but also has "extrapolated Americana" with shades of Neil Young (electric), Seventies Dylan and I think that Sexy Jessie has the feel of The Beatles in their later years. All of this "feel" is supported by outstanding musicianship.
