Great for Harvest Moon nuts, 11 April 2007
Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This is not a traditional Harvest Moon game as it's set in the future.
You play a robot boy who need to learn the ways and joys of life by running a farm.
Although the idea is a little silly and unexciting, the game play is rewarding to anyone who has played Harvest Moon as it gives the game a new approach.
Game play can be slow as you drag through (towards the beginning of the game, countless) text boxes of storyline dribble. However, after a while it picks up. After playing for a short while, you will realise that this game could potentially suck you in for a large portion of your life like the previous titles of the series...
Generally, people may hate this game as it's not a conventional Harvest Moon, there are many new game mechanics and a lot of the original mechanics have been lost. However, for a true lover of Harvest Moon games, this is a definite must to at least try out.

Good - but why oh why such poor instructions?, 29 Jun 2008
Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
This is the first harvest moon game i have played and the only thing I can't fault is the graphics, they are great.
Let me say that I do enjoy the game, it is just so frustrating. The repeated unskippable dialogue is infuriating & the complete lack of supplied instructions and hints means I spend most of my life surfing the web for help when I am stuck. It is driving me slowly insane. Also the complete lack of personality of the other characters, I have been to the mermaid etc months ago and the Dr is still telling me to seek the hermit. They just don't seem to move on with you.
Do not give this game to a child (or adult) who is easily frustrated as it may end up (along with the PSP) going out of the window.

Same harvest, diffrent era., 15 April 2007
Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
You awake on a small island, the inhabitants, quirky to say the least, and all of them are depending on you to, more or less, save the island.
This game begins with a long daiolog of, mostly, useless chatter and an intro to a muntotonis story line. After the doctor releases you into the hands of a fellow ((by hand)) farmer, he shows you the ropes of farming.
After a some what entertaining tutorial, the game begins to pick up. Secrets are somewhat lead on to you about your duties, and what the fruit (no pun entended) of your labors.
The game, over all, is some what fun, it just takes a long, long, i can't inforce this enought, long time for the story to unfold.
People who have never played the Harvest moon series, should try them out before popping the bucks for this one.
Those who are fans of the series, may find that a few options (like getting married, i mean gosh, your a robot, god forbide you from getting a wife, lol) are not included. But other features, like the vegi's and other produce not breaking into a mess if you accedentaly drop it, are replaced with you, just droping it on the ground so that you can pick it up agian. A few othering things like a better menu design, and a save when ever you want, are something that the Harvest moon games should have.
Hard core fans of the Harvest Moon series, may either love, or hate this game. It all deppends on why you actually love Harvest moon.
Over all, this game is really fun, only for those who are fans of micromanagment, or Sims-esk games. Also, those who like to do monotonais tasks, and basic jobs, will be fine with this game.
