Product Description

Johnny Knoxville and his band of merry maniacs go on another madcap series of adventures involving outrageous stunts and downright c raziness.

From Amazon.co.uk

Jackass Number Two could be alternately titled "From Bow Ties to Bunny Ears: What Will Chris Pontius Be Wearing Next?" Like the first Jackass movie, Johnny, Bam, Chris, Steve-O and the gang are all here. This "sequel" is full of stunts, pranks and one-liners, and contains more male nudity, more scream-worthy moments and of course more uncontrollable laughter. The film opens with a rather well directed cinematic piece: the entire Jackass gang running from a stampede of bulls. From there it takes off into the hysterically exhausting world of Jackass. The bulls are in quite a few stunts actually, one of which has "leader" Johnny Knoxville using himself as a red flag, and getting spearheaded by a charging bull. Ah, good times.

Some of the stunts include: "Beehive Limo", "Fart Mask", "Red Rocket" and a fake terrorist plot which boasts the improve line, "Where I'm going, I don't need luggage." Bam gets branded, they fish for sharks with Steve-O as bait, Johnny catches Anacondas with his bare hands, the list goes on. The gem in this collection of antics has to be the offensive interactions with the innocent people on the street by Johnny Knoxville and director/actor Spike Jonez, while disguised as a very old man and woman. Celebrity guests partaking in stunts include extreme sports legends Tony Hawk and Mat Hoffman. The movie culminates in a beautifully choreographed, fantastical and dangerous musical number not to be missed. Throughout the movie it is apparent that the Jackass gang is older and a little more worn, especially when Bam pleads, "Please God, don't let there be a "Jackass 3". For fans of the TV series and the films, a trilogy may be just what the doctor ordered. The DVD extras (deleted scenes, unrated material and two pretty funny music videos) are more of the same and worth the watch, though some of it is not for the faint hearted. --Rachel Moss

Despite the fact the jackasses don't look like it, they are pure geniuses. Who thought that such pain could result in such hilarity? I'm a huge fan of the show and the first movie, but this film made me laugh so hard i think i might need a lung transplant. I just can't stop laughing. And I warn you, if you have a sick, twisted mind you'll suffer the same consiquences as i have. But it's all worth it.

If you never liked Jackass the tv show, or indeed the first Jackass movie, then you won't like this one. Have been watching it again in anticipation for the Jackass 2.5 release. From the stunning opener which finds the crew 'Running with the bulls', to the audacious and fantastically inept song and dance routine closer, the movie drags the viewer along for the ride. Providing laughs, groans, and more than a few moments where, this viewer at least, was watching from behind my hands, this movie is intense. There are moments (the Toro Totter stunt, for example) where things go from funny to scary quite rapidly. There are the incredibly involved stunts (the Terror Taxi - which is one of the few skits that doesn't bear repeated viewings) and the so simple you wish you'd thought of them. Very few miss the mark, though some do - but it's all personal taste. What one person finds funny another won't.

The dvd is packed with great extras - extra skits, trailers, deleted scenes, bloopers (though quite how you can have bloopers on a film like this I don't know!) and a great commentary. I was worried after hearing the messy commentaries for the tv boxset, and wanted there to be two commentaries as there was on the first movie - but they seem to have learned from their mistakes and everyone is given a fair chance to speak. Though Johnny Knoxville is obviously pushed to the front and heard from most, it is also brilliant to hear from 'lesser' members of the team such as Dave England and Ehren McGehey.

Not sure yet if I am with Bam on hoping that there is no Jackass number three. There are points in this movie where you realise just how unbelieveably lucky these guys are.

i love jackass. i love the mtv series and the first movie. this movie is enjoyable too, but the stunts are far more dangerous and stupid rather then funny, this time. it is not enjoyable watching people playing with death..... i also thought that a couple of the jokes/stunts were quite bullying, which is not nice to watch either..... the stunts also seem very staged, they do not seem as spontaneous as they have done before, in previous series.

i didn't realise there were so many people involved in making this kind of film, i still thought it was just a bunch of 'jackass's' with a camera! but this is definately a very planned and scripted film, unfortunately...

some of the cast have not been in close contact prior to 'number two' and you can feel the jealousy and tension among the group. they are obviously doing it more this time for the money, then for a laugh, which i think is a shame, wrong and deceiving. i also didn't like one incidence, where someone was told to 'pretend it hurts really bad'......

even so, i really enjoyed watching the film and would encourage you to watch this. just do not watch it while eating.....or, stop eating when you see the 'horse'. i was gagging for ages......

oh, and definately recommended for the girls. steve o is quite impressive, wink wink..... and chris has got a lovely toned body... and johnny is still gorgeous......and daves got beautiful eyes.... i think i fancy them all.......yum yum!

...exclaims Ryan Dunn after he has just been slammed into a door whilst riding a shopping cart.

This movie in my opinion is far superior to the first, but is much "gnarlier". The guys really do push themselves to the limits in this one, and some of the stunts they pull really are incredibly stupid...but they all pull through ok and give the viewing audience a lot of laughs! How many guys do you know that will stand infront of a rubber ball filled bomb, simply for the entertainment of their fans? Haha!

As always, the main stunt whores are Johnny, Bam, Ryan, and Steve-O. Despite this, Ehran and Dave (who in my opinion did very little in the first film) got much more involved here, and for the best too! I actually find myself laughing most at Dave England as he walks (or limps) away from his latest stunt making all manner of girly noises! All of the guys are very satisfying though and do their own fair share of work.

The film seems to revolve less around toilet humour (like it's predecessor) and really does bring up some pretty scary stunts. Only Steve-O is stupid enough to put a leech on his eyeball, and Wee Man is brave enough to be jumped on by a hideously obese woman wearing nothing but bikini bottoms (it may not seem tasking, but from his point of view, that must be a terrifying ordeal). This film will have you laughing, crying and definitely cringing all the way through. Top marks for the Jackass guys!!

If you love Jackass, you will love this! I just saw it on R1 DVD today and thought it was fantastic. It includes the best sketch ever invovling a trick on one of the cast when a gun gets pointed at him and gets locked up in a back of car with the rest of crew shouting 'IT'S A TV SHOW' to the guy with the gun, but it was all set up. The cast appear more 'mature' if you know what I mean, which is a good thing because bam margera I thought used to be a prat, but now I like him. By mature I mean their not doing it to mess about but doing it for entertainment for us and making it more porfessinal.

This time they spend a lot of time in India, with more snakes and using more bulls and lot of pranking on eachother than the public.

It's lot more gayier than the orignal which makes it more funny ie. chris getting a 'hard on' in front of the guys.

They spend less time doing action stunts which I think makes it a lot better.

Really it is a huge improvment from the orignal such as more of weeman, no party boy, not afraid of being hit by a bull, less skate tricks, and for once bam margera being in the most pain and having more pranks on him, rather him doing the pranks.

It's all here, Knoxville's famous laugh, bam's parents in brillent sketches, the cast close to death and pure comedy

Once again the DVD provides loads of un-used scenes and a funny commentary from the cast.

The film seemed more porfessinal and tweked most of the problems with the orignal which leaves us just wanting more again...
