Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

Monster Madness is a frenetic co-op shooter with stunning character design and mind blowing physics. Zack, Carrie, Andy, and Jennifer were all looking forward to a party when Zack's parents left town for vacation. Unfortunately, some uninvited guests soon arrived...

4-Player Cooperative Online Action - Mix local & online players as you try to survive the Monster's invasion. Each player character has unique items and affects how the story plays out.

3D Top-Down Shooting - Aim in any direction, including up and down. Hordes of Monsters attack you from all sides, but you can also utilize quick dodge-moves to avoid them!

Customize Your Weapons - Acquire Weapon Parts by defeating enemies and exploring your environments, and then use these parts to Build more powerful weapons and Upgrade the ones that you have. Carry these customized Weapons between games, and find rare Weapon Parts at the greater difficulty levels to build the Ultimate Weapons!

Drive Vehicles - Find abandoned Vehicles, outfit them with deadly weapons, and ride in them to overpower your foot-bound foes.

Save the Town - Fight your way through 5 unique environments, such as "Suburban Nightmare", "High School Hell", and "The Shopping Maul", each with deranged Boss Monsters. Take back your turf from these evil fiends (and maybe impress your girlfriend while you're at it)!

Advanced Physics - Monster Madness is designed specifically for the Ageia NovodeX Physics platform, including use of the PhysX PPU. Interact with the environments physics to give yourself an advantage, such as creating barricades or throwing large objects.

Killer Graphics - Running on the Reality Engine, Monster Madness takes full advantage of the most advanced Shader Model 3.0 capabilities, including High Dynamic Range Rendering and fully dynamically lit & shadowed worlds.

1.0 out of 5 stars Monster Sadness, 3 April 2009

Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
This is my first ever review.

I bought this game being a mature game player as it has similarities to an old super NES game called Zombies! also known as Zombies ate my neighbours in the US. I imagine this game on the consoles might be fun in a light quick game then go way but sadly on the PC it is horrible. The port from console to PC does not feel complete. I have a powerful pc and it was very sluggish, some of the music rather than drawing you in and energising is really depressing and the gameplay is deeply unrewarding. The worst part however is when i uninstalled the game. I used a free uninstaller called Revo which finds things that windows leaves behind in the registry and Bang!. Somehow this game had associated itself with multiple windows programs that had their links removed. Worse i have a nokia with music subscription that requires some kind of DRM cookie on my machine that can only be renewed every three months, gone. A lot of emailing to explain to nokia etc.

Objectively i would say if the graphics or the theme intrigue you enough to try it please do, but i found it not only a waste of time and money but also a lot of stress due to the damage removing it caused. It's listed at under two pounds when i write this, there is a reason for that. Supply and demand.

Thanks for reading
