5.0 out of 5 stars Another Classic UK Hip-Hop Album, 16 Oct 2006
After many months of waiting, Akira's debut album is finally seeing the light of day. Make no mistake, this album is going to feel like an old friend within a couple of plays. The man is a lyrical genius and really knows how to tell a story. Whether it's about growing up and learning from your mistakes ("Liverpool") or about the scandalous lack of funding & help that Aids sufferers recieve ("Thanks For All The Aids") he simply nails it. Sadly UK hip-hop never gets the respect and commercial success it deserves (Ask Phi-Life-Cypher). Hopefully this will be the album that draws the masses into a very rich and much maligned scene. Trust me, you really do NEED this album in your life, regardless of what your favourite genre is. Akira covers all bases in his music and my life is certainly all the better for it. Help to make Akira The Don the household name that he deserves to be.

Having first encountered Akira The Don supporting PWEI at Sheppards Bush Empire I have to admit Ive been awaiting this his first album.

He is like Carter USM if they had been exposed to Garage, Drum and Bass and the politics of the late 1990's. This album contains a great mix of songs which are both catchy, infectious and at the same time there to make you think.
