The complete first three seasons of the comedy show that takes a surreal tour of the British Isles and its curious inhabitants. Matt Lucas and David Walliams introduce us to a host of bizarre characters: juvenile delinquent Vicky Pollard ('No... but yeah... but no'); Daffyd Thomas, the only gay in the village; Jason, the teenager with an unhealthy attraction to his best friend's granny; Sebastian Love, the government aide with a crush on the Prime Minister; Marjorie Dawes, the terrifying FatFighters group leader; Emily Howard, the world's worst transvestite ('I'm a lady!'); Marjorie Dawes, the terrifying FatFighters group leader; and, of course, put-upon helper Lou and his wheelchair-bound friend Andy.

Synopsis

This collection features all three series of Matt Lucas and David Walliams' phenomenally successful sketch show. Characters like the teenage chav Vicky Pollard, Sebastian the Prime Minister's aide, Lou and Andy, and Dafydd; the only gay in the village have since entered British pop culture and Little Britain has fast become one of the BBC's most popular and imitated comedies.

I would like to say that I've watched this through and thoroughly enjoyed it - however, since it arrived (very quickly, I might add) my children have hijacked it and it has resided upstairs in my daughter's bedroom. She says it is brilliant, as does my son. To be fair, I have probably seen every episode when it was on TV, so I can agree whole-heartedly with their assessment. I suspect that Little Britain is probably one of those things that you either love or hate - our family loves it! The only down-side is the constant quoting from the sketches - whereas once my house was filled with choruses of "que?" and "I'm doing it, I'm doing it!" and just about anything from "The Germans" episode (we're also Fawlty Towers fans!) - now it's "Marrrg-rit!" and "I want that one" and Vicky Pollard a-plenty. Which, I guess, is a pretty sure-fire way of knowing that we have a true classic here!

If you've seen Little Britain on TV then you don't need any reassurance when thinking about purchasing the DVD box set. If you haven't seen it on TV, THEN GO BUY IT! You know what your getting plus there are all the extras. One i found useful is that you can watch a whole season of one act e.g. watch 12 Lou and Andy scenes in a row.

This DVD is cheap and wont put you in a kurfuffle money-wise. Everyone who has a mature sense of humor needs to see this as it is very funny with Vicky Pollards fast talking and schenanagons, Bubbles De Vere trying to win her boyfriend back after gate-crashing his hney moon and Andy demanding stuff he does not really want and doing funny stuff when Andys back is turned: he gets out of his wheelchair. Matt Lucas and David Walliams have played most of the characters, put hard work into this series and it has easilly become one of the best ever comedies ever made in Britain, I myself Would put it in the Top 3.

Some people have been complaining about the show being "repetitive" with its sketches; watching all the episodes in one go makes it a tad boring. Instead, I recommend customers to watch an episode on a weekly basis (as the show aired in this way) in order to reduce or get rid of any boredom.
