Product Description

Amazon.co.uk Review
What began life as an informal street mix-tape project to help launch fledgling Shady Records artists (Stat Quo, Ca$his, Bobby Creekwater, Obie Trice and producer The Alchemist) has now become an official release. Flowing fairly randomly from track to track, the project, perhaps surprisingly for such a high profile outing, retains its original mixtape vibe. It's a thuggish and sluggish affair, led by Alchemist's somber, strong-arm beats (with additional production from Dr. Dre amd Kon Artis), and inhabited by a varied range of voices, from the Shady Records artists previously mentioned to Eminem himself (on half a dozen tracks), and appearances from 50 Cent, the recently slain Proof, and others from the G Unit crew. With so many cuts at the same tempo and with the same moody aura, it can all start to wear a little in places. Indeed, with such a wealth of up and coming talent and established personnel at work, there really ought to be more stand-outs. As it is, we get perhaps six killers (including Eminem-led cuts, 'The Re-Up' and 'Jimmy Crack Corn'), a disproportionate amount of fillers, and a mixtape/album that – just about – leaves a vaguely positive impression.--Paul Sullivan

5.0 out of 5 stars The Return of the King, 4 Dec 2006
Forget Encore; Slim Shady is back. And his back at his finest. This mixtape/album is meant to promote Eminem's Shady/Aftermath comrades, and it does it well. Stat Quo, Cashis, Bobby Creek, 50 Cent, and D12 are sick on all their respective tracks. But not iller than the King himself - Mr Mathers.
Fans of Eminem will be glad to know that there's less goofing around on this album, and more fire-spitting. Eminem takes it personal with "No Appologies" and kills in "Publick Enemy #1"
I'm really impressed with this work. Shows that Em's still got it in him. Most especially, it shows that there's a lot of talent in Shady Records.

5.0 out of 5 stars Back to his best with some great new additions!!, 5 Dec 2006
By A. C. Gardner "x_kamui_shiro_x" (the south) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This was supposed to be released as a mixtape and for that reason people need to be aware that he has that mixtape flow to which works extremely well here! First eminem is awesome on this album no more of that 'ass like that' nonsense he had on encore and finally some serious flow! This gives me hope that eminems next album really will work if he stays away from some of the stupid rap he sometimes does! All the tracks with 50 are great to the way he sells his flow and the verses he drops!
One of the great things as well is the introduction of some of the newer artists, i'm not gonna mention obie as although he is good his flow just doesn't work for me! Out of the new additions Ca$his is quality real southern rhymes being sold with that southern attitude! Bobby creekwater also stands out as a great new rapper on the shady label! Judging by this mixtape i'm expecting big things from the shady camp in 2007!
To summarize every rapper on this tape nails it from start to finish with some great production and lyrics, this is highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars A very nice album indeed., 5 Dec 2006
By Mr. L. Goff - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Eminem's last Album was for the most part a mediocre affair, even for the diehards.
This on the other hand goes back to the oldschool with some nice rolling beats and some crazily smooth vocals.

To call it an Eminem is a bit short because he recognisably features in only a few of the tracks. Despite this, the whole range of artists add their own style to each track, and the Eminem featured tracks are top notch.

It sounds like an Album of Demo's but Demo's you wish you'd heard first.

Can't reccomend this enough.
