The samsung k5 is an mp3 player for someone who loves how their product looks and performs. It looks awesome when the bright blue buttons flash up on the black screen, sleek metal looks quality and feels great in your hand. It performs without flaws the battery life is superb and the speaker is good quality for such a small thing, your friends will be jealous, trust me!!
Downsides a tad bigger than other mp3's such as a nano for instance but it feels good in your hand and if you don't mind a slight bulge in your pocket it's worth having. Software isn't brilliant but drag and drop works which is a bonus. It doesn't take aac files so some conversion might be needed and songs u bought off itunes don't work unless u put them on a cd and back on ur pc again which means u need to write all track names again, bummer.
Overall a great product and another great gadget worth having, samsung producing many great new looking products for instance d900 looks cool

I have only good things to say about this player. Have heard good things about Samsung players and decided to give this one a go. Music sounds good and the speaker is suprisingly effective for a wee MP3. The software is easy to use and as the player is new on the market so people cant help but ask about it. It looks coll and sounds cool. Only concern is that when using the radio you cannot use the speaker as the cable for headphones act as the ariel. Still I really cant complain and that is great. Overall, very happy at this purchase.

Excellent quality media player. Touch sensitive controls takes a little while to master, but I like the action. Very good sound quality with the weird (which you get used to) earphones and the internal speaker that flips out. Battery life is around 30 hours (earphones only) but has to be charged via your PC. Would advise investing in a mains charger with a USB type connector to charge the YP-K5 more convienantly! Nice FM radio, an excellent alarm function (but no displayed clock!)and a basic photo viewer complete the initial functions.

If you have a raft of Ogg Vorbis (.ogg) media you are going to be very dissapointed if you think that this Samsung YP-K5 is going to play them. Although it is MENTIONED ABOVE in the product specification...it does not! So Amazon please remove this statement as it is misleading! I checked with Samsung, after I bought it (to play my ogg files!!) from Amazon and this player is now no longer ogg vorbis as well as WAV format compatible, so bear this in mind.

Overall I am very pleased with this player. It does have a strange mix of brilliant features and some very basic settings which might put some people off this player. The Samsung YP-K5 would have received 5 stars but for the lack of ogg format support.
