Product Description

Disgraced and ostracized from his local football team, Ecki swears revenge. He forms a rag-tag, all-gay team in the ultimate grudge match. It is a hilarious journey for Ecki, his family and the entire town in this thoroughly surprising comedy.


Synopsis

Ecki accidentally reveals his sexuality to his team-mates and as a result becomes a victim of some harsh discrimination. According to his team, 'softies' like Ecki would not be able to catch a ball. Ecki swears revenge and with the help of his sister, he forms a rag-tag, all-gay team. It is a hilarious journey for Ecki, his family and the entire town, finally culminating in the ultimate grudge match.

This will not be an Oscar winner but it is one that will be there for you when you had a bad day or when winter gets to you !!!!
In the league of Full Monty it is all predictible.
It is funny - soft and the actors are good looking too.
A very good quality / feel good movie a good little wine and pizza to go with it PERFECT.
And you don't have to be a footy fan to enjoy !!!

This film is great. The characters are varied and dialogues are funny. (The subtitles are well translated). I watched it with several friends and we all enjoyed it a lot, laughing out loud at parts, which I don't do often in such films. I would recommend it.

Bought this DVD on the strength of the reviews and my love of German film but I didn't enjoy it much.

I didn't find the actors engaging and in not caring about their characters I didn't much care at all. The story is derivative, cliched and simply unbelievable at times. A couple of laughs, no more.

I'd suggest you rent, not buy, if you're interested in seeing it.
