I bought this CD some time ago from amazon and have listened to it again and again.
The quality and perfection of Kiri's voice is matchless, the notes ringing true and clear and the legato quality bringing a soothing peace to all who listen.
She truly has the most outstanding voice and it is an unqualified pleasure to listen to her.
The beautiful Welsh Y Cyfrinwyr is truly a mystical song and it rings with sensational beauty.
In Paradisum, which she sang at the Royal Albert Hall has a quality all of its own and you don't want it to finish.
Then the Guastavino songs which Kiri herself chose are delivered with confidence and startling warmth and passion.

To me, the only thing which detracts from this otherwise flawless CD is the addition of the ethnic singers who form a keynote of Karl Jenkins music. The almost childish chorus of singing detracts from the dreamlike quality of some of the songs and it seems a pity that they were included.

Otherwise, there is nothing that anyone could criticise about this latest venture by one of the greatest sopranos of all time.
There is a booklet with the CD which shows photos of the unutterable beauty and sophistication of Kiri at this stage in her life and career.
Truly, it is a joy to own.

The first time I listened to it I could not even listen to the end of the CD. I thought if I listened agian it might be better but it was not.The renditions all lack passion. Kiri wables away the same in almost every track.It certainly was not up to Karl,s usuall standard. It is had to express how disapointed I am.
