Synopsis

Lee Majors returns as Steve Austin, an astronaut and Colonel in the Air Force who barely survives a terrible air crash. The Government use experimental bionic surgery to re-build him and he becomes 'The Six Million Dollar Man' and an agent for the Office Of Scientific Investigations (OSI). I live in the USA. Forget about the stupid trademark infringement wars between studios! Just head down to your local Wal-Mart and buy a $39 all-region DVD player that converts PAL to NTSC on the fly! I did, and the episodes look awesome!
Shipping time from the UK took about 2 weeks. The staff at amazom.co.uk are pleasant and knowledgable.

I will be placing many more orders from them for TV DVD sets that the idiots in the USA won't release.

Wow what a difference a year makes! I just received my copies of both 2nd seasons of SMDM and BW and am impressed with the transfer of both. Now if they would go back and remaster and restore season 1, that would be even better. A bonus on the 6th disc is that the episode The Bionic Woman is presented in its 95 minute form, not given the syndicated 2 part version treatment that was used on season 1 set for the three pilot episodes. So great job on that as well. Hopefully they wont wait as long to release seasons 3 through 5 and maybe someday they will release it in the United States though I must say that ordering from amazon.uk is quicker than waiting for it to be shipped in U.S. and I live down the street from Amazon...and it still takes 8 - 10 days. Anyway. Great item for the true fans.

Firstly its great to have these episodes in season format as there is a whole generation waiting to discover them. After the success of the first series you can tell the studios were rubbing their hands at the thought of a second series and Harve Bennett delivered a good 22 episode season that still hold up well. One of my favourite episodes is 'Taneha' with the gorgeous Jess Walton.
But that's not my problem.
My problem is with universal and the awful way the second series has been repackaged. The episodes are by no means 'remastered' as they look as if they've been left out in the sun for a week! They are faded and the sound track is in mono - where's the stereo sondtrack? The packaging is cheap too. The first season had a book page package where these episodes are two discs in wafer thin slip cases in an almost paper case ! and there are still no extras in this set.
Universal please look at warner brothers efforts on say, wonder woman. Beautiful picture quality, so-so packaging but at least they provide a bonus documentary !
I wish i was in charge of it all......
