This is a beautiful record that flows impeccably from beginning to end. It holds together as a collection of songs that complement each other and reward the listeners after repeated listens. Although it is a quite crude sounding album it does lend itself to headphone listening. As you become familiar with the songs you find yourself inhabiting them and sharing the angst that they, at times, portray. The lyrical structure is so simple, but it soon becomes apparent that the simplicity is the songs greatest strength. Tracks like 'Little Boy's Dream' 'You're Only Lonely' predominantly consist of just one phrase or couplet repeating for the duration of the song. The latter is like a mantra that builds into a stunning wall of sound and intensity. Although it does, at times, feel like a intense listen, this album has a more upbeat feel to it than its predessesor and songs like 'Digging a Grave' can have you stomping around the room in drunken glee.
