Synopsis
Like a small-screen version of A FEW GOOD MEN, the television series JAG delves into the world of military justice with a stirring blend of action and drama. Created by TV stalwart Donald Bellisario (MAGNUM P.I., QUANTUM LEAP), the series follows two JAG (Judge Advocate General) officers, fighter-pilot-turned-lawyer Harmon 'Harm' Rabb (David James Elliott) and his partner, Meg Austin (Tracey Needham), as they investigate and prosecute military crimes within the Marine Corps and Navy. This collection presents all 21 episodes of the debut series.

4.0 out of 5 stars First Rate Entertainment, 1 May 2007
By C.K Dexter Haven "Dexter" (Solihull, England) - See all my reviews
I first came across JAG on Hallmark a few years ago, tho' they've stopped showing it now. Donald P. obviously has very influential friends because the locations are genuine (either that or his FX team are the best on the planet) which makes the show more interesting and dynamic.
Some of the characters are so stereotypical (surely not ALL officers smoke huge cigars?) and some of the dialogue is cliched but it's so visually stunning (and their uniforms are so clean and sharp) that you're prepared to forgive these lapses. Worth every penny - particularly compared to current UK TV.

I found the first season ok but you can really get into it. If you like NCIS you will like this a must for anyone. Worth every penny the as it is filmed on a real carrier or location and NOT in a studio.

5.0 out of 5 stars JAG changed my life, 31 Mar 2007

I LOVED JAG from the very moment I saw it and when it came out on DVD I just knew I had to have it! For me, no other television series can ever compare! David James Elliott is such a hunk and I really love Tracey Needham's character as well. The episodes are so authenticlooking and I always liked the underlying sexual tension between Harm and Meg. The episode I like the most is definately Boot, but my other favourites include Hemlock, Scimitar, Brig Break, Shadow, Sightings and of course the lovely and sad Skeleton Crew. This tv series sure changed my life for the better. I can't wait to own the other DVD boxes!
