5.0 out of 5 stars So Realistic..., 18 Jan 2007
By Joseph O'keefe (Great Yarmouth, UK) - See all my reviews

Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This new add-on for MSTS is great. I was a bit sceptical that they were just going to stick the 2 original routes together and then add the Arun Valley line and the Hove to Preston Park curve, as the original routes did have many errors and in many areas, extremily unrealistic signalling. But no, as well as the fantastic new route, they have spent the time to improve on the 2 original routes to make this new sim very realistic. They have even managed to create an approach controlled signalling system on the lead up to many of the diverging routes, such as to Littlehampton and onto the down loop at Havent station. The stock has also been greatly improved with much better graphics both inside and out. The stock now also has much more realistic controls and acceleration, you now really have to make your train work for you, especially when breaking the Class 171 & 377. I highly reccommend this great add-on for MSTS and I'm sure that you will, like myself, have many hours of enjoyment driving this route.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, 6 April 2007

Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
I recently bought this and have found it to be an excellent add-on to the MSTS stable. The only (slight) niggles that I have found is that occasionally if you overrun the platform slightly and select reverse the train accelerates uncontrollably to about 150mph and is difficult to stop. The other is that, having travelled on the route fairly regularly in the past, I have never seen Clapham Junction without at least two or three trains passing through at any one time. It is, after all, one of the busiest stations in the world. The times I have stopped there while playing the scenarios I have yet to see any other train passing through! Apart from that I have no complaints whatsoever. Well done again First Class Simulations!!
