I have been eagerly awaiting The Fratellis debut album having raved on about them since purchasing their now highly sought after debut EP containing the now infamous track 'Creepin up the Backstairs' and it exceeds even my high expectations!

The Fratellis have a fantastic unique sound - punk, indie, glam rock and are clearly heavily influenced by the 1960s music era. Using a food analogy, if you put the Libertines, the Artic Monkeys and The Kinks in a blender your end product would be The Fratellis! After all, quality ingredients make quality results!

Costello Music has no fillers and is tremendous value for the band's first three singles, 'Creepin up the Backstairs', 'Henrietta' and 'Chelsea Dagger' alone! The Fratellis are excellent live (I have seen them twice) and this version of the album allows every purchaser who hasn't been lucky enough to see one of their gigs, the chance to indulge in this fantastic musical experience!!

Costello Music is simply superb and The Fratellis without doubt will be up there with The Dirty Pretty Things as one of the best new bands of 2006, with one of the best debut albums come what December!!!

Bought this album on spec after hearing a few Fratellis tunes on Myspace..oh my, what a cracker it is. This is what good music is all about, great writing, good musicianship and unforgetable hooks & melodys. I was so impressed I got tickets to see them live next month (Nov '06)...bring it on.

finally a decent band from scotland! Best album ive heard this year although im sure everyone else will beg to differ. However to all who moan that there is no decent bands these days the fratellis will prove you wrong with this
