Synopsis

A limited edition title that contains the special edition of PREDATOR, the special edition of PREDATOR 2, and the theatrical and extended versions of ALIEN VS PREDATOR, housed in a moulded replica of a Predator's head. In PREDATOR, commandos are recruited by the CIA to rescue hostages held by guerilla fighters in a Central American country, and they encounter an enemy more deadly than any on earth - because the Predator is not of this earth. PREDATOR 2 finds the the police force of 1997 Los Angeles losing the battle against the drug lords and the gangs of thugs which control the streets. Suddenly the killers are the victims of an alien being. Set in the near future, ALIEN VS PREDATOR sees a team of archaeologists venture towards an inexplicable hot zone detected in Antarctica. The team discover a sizeable underground pyramid. Chaos ensues as they awake the Queen Alien from her blissful slumber, causing face-hugging and chest-bursting scenes aplenty. But the ailing crew has a further quandary to grapple with in the shape of some fearsome Predators, who are using the aliens as bait for their offspring to brawl with in an ancient initiation ritual. With the human team trapped in the labyrinth-like pyramid, the battle evolves into a nail-biting three-way tussle between the archaeologists and their extraterrestrial adversaries.

I must admit that i'm not the biggest fan of the 'predator' franchise as some of you might be. In actual fact i only bought this set as a companion to the 'Alien' delux head that i've already got as i enjoyed Alien VS Predator very much, but dont worry, i thoroughly enjoyed all the films, my problem is with the set itself. The 'Alien' set is really very well made, it's heavy, well cast with excellent detail and has a cold metal finish which adds to the quality feel of the product. This 'Predator' set is not like its sister 'Alien' set at all. The set is made out of very lightweight formed plastic, the detail is not as good and if you were hoping that the disks would fit inside the head like the alien set you'll be dissapointed, as they simply fit into a slot in the back of the bust (which is also very flimsy and badly built in). I was disappointed by this set because it has such a heafty price tag for not a great deal, only 3 films in a glorified plastic bust. I think i'm going to try and sell it on quickly and hope that when Alien Versus Predator 2 is released next year they'll come out with a better quality set.

This is the ultimate Predator set, and one of the best DVD sets i have seen in a long time. It contains Predator, the slightly dull Predator2 and the very dull Alien vs. Predator.
But that cannot put you off such a marvelous set. This not only comes in probably the coolest container for dvd's to ever be made but has the special edition versions to each film. Which are all packed with many many cool extras!
The origonal Predator is a fantastic action/sci-fi movie starring the lord of super soldiers; Arnold Swarseneggar (if thats spelt wrong you try it with your eyes closed). It has everything an action flick of its kind could possibly want and is a cult classic because of it. Massive guns, Super soldiers to use them, A jungle, A super cool alien with even more guns and technology and a pretty good story to go with the film. Although the lines of the film may not be as complex as some other flicks of its kind it maintains the needs of a hardened action fan and still holds its origonality and excelence whilst bieng a sci-fi with some bloody scenes for thise who like them, plus a bunch of explosions and a large number of terrorists to shoot and blow up at the start. It was a classic form the word go.
Predator2 however wasnt as good, Arnold wasnt avadable for this so Danny Glover (Who is reasonably well known from films like Lethal Weapon and Saw) plus a different setting for the Predator to kill in; the city. This has been the case for many of the Predator books and is a very good idea after seeing the Predators capabilities in the jungle, so this film has a hell of a lot of hype before its release but was let down dramatically because it wasnt actually that good and was more of a super cop in the city gighting gans and Predator involved. It still turned out to be a decent action flick but was mainly let down because the fillm before it in the series was so brilliant. Released on its own as the origonal predator movie it would have been much better.
Alien vs. Predator is the final film in this set and the worsed, combining the two sci-fi franchises and some how has now branded Predator a horro instead of an action, this is based upon the ideas of the many Alien vs. Predator novels whivh were pretty good. (especially "prey" if your interested)Yte this is just extremely dull, non violent, pretty slow paced, badly acted, has a boring atmosphere for some reason and is a pretty baed waste of some great visual effects and a bunch of cool Predators with some fancy weapons, as well as not exatly giving anything helpfull to this series of films, mabe even making this well known franchize a little less popular.
Although this may sound odd, dont be put off, if you have the money to buy this set than i suggest you do, weather you like these films or not. Shurely you can find someone who does and give it as a present (if i got this as a present i would be crying with happyness).
Buy if you can!

The ultimate Predator set, a huge head and one of the best DVD sets i have seen in a long time. This set is produced in a hard material the same as the popular alien head set.It contains the special edition versions to each film.I prefer this to the other sets because it makes a better display and looks more realistic.
