Synopsis

Detective Superintendent Jane Tennison (Helen Mirren) is thrown into yet another complex murder mystery. Her romantic liaison with Patrick Schofield (Stuart Wilson)--the psychologist from THE LOST CHILD--seems to be growing into a relationship, but a series of murders resembling crimes previously considered solved has the internal affairs department pointing fingers at Jane and she's suspended for possible wrongdoing. Is Jane losing her edge, or could it be a copycat?
