5.0 out of 5 stars Everyone should hear this album., 2 Nov 2006
Anyone who was a fan of Rollerskate Skinny will instantly feel at home listening to this cracker right from the the opening track - it could have come from either of their two albums - the usual themes of love, loss, alienation, death, redepmtion and the odd biblical reference are all here but with a more stripped down, raw feel than what we're used - apparently all the tracks were recorded "live" in the studio - it sounds fresh and vital.

The lyrics are a lot easier to get your head around than rollerskate skinny's were, but the odd "..chicken blood bitches in the slaughter house..." stands out.

A great debut from a potentially great band.

Original, distinctive, inspiring stuff from a band that, despite only forming in 2004 sound like they've always been around.
