For the first half this is stunning stuff from the mule, great riffs (a little like free circa ;tons of sobs') and some absolutely stunning guitar with emphasis on the wah-wah pedal. The keyboards though mixed a little too way back fill out the sound nicely and if you like the more streamlined 'deja voodoo' you won't be dissaponted but...oh dear about half way through the band lose it big time becoming very formalic and relying on some rather uninspired ballads. There is eight minutes of a psuedo raggae jam that just doesn't cut it mainly because there is practically no riff to hanf onto and the lengthly closer is your standard Gary Moore slow blues work out. Look anything by the Mule is worth owning, but i just wished that Warren had chosen one of the earlier tracks to jam out on-how could he fade some of those solo's out?

Mr Haynes & Co have done it again.If your not up to speed with Govt Mule here is your chance.They continue to be the finest Blues/Rock outfit in the states with constant touring under there belts.
High&Mighty is another step forward for the band.
The Album does not really have a weak track.Stand out tracks!Mr High&Mighty,So Weak,So Strong.Some fantastic Guitar work on Child Of The Earth,with the regee?feel to Unring The Bell.
All of the Tracks have there own feel,Closing with the Superb Endless Parade.

10/10 with out doubt,if you like the Crowes,Stones,Zeppelin,ABB you will love this Band.

When Gov't Mule began in 1994 as an Allman Brothers Band side project for Warren Haynes, the late, great Allen Woody and Matt Abts, it truly was a group project. And the trio's first album, from 1995, reflects that.

But the tide began turning towards Warren's undeniable singing, songwriting and guitar-playing skills after that, until we reach this recording. Co-produced by Warren. With every song written by Warren alone.

The result? This sounds more like a Warren solo disc (a very good one, mind you) than a band project. Unlike Allen Woody's work on bass, Andy Hess supplies strictly standard in-the-pocket stuff. And just look at the breathtaking lack of keyboards. None of the 11 tracks are keyboard-driven and Danny Louis is reduced to supplying Gregg Allmanesque window dressing....there isn't a single keyboard solo until the seventh song. And forget about any driving, amazing keyboard-guitar interplay (you'll have to go to Deep Purple for that).

I don't understand this at all, given Warren's generosity on stage, but maybe I'm just knit-picking. This is still a good album, as good (or better) than Deja Voodoo. And considering it was co-produced by Gordie Johnson (leader of Canada's underwhelming, overly loud Big Sugar, now defunct) that's no small matter.
