I think the Telescopes (Stephen Lawrie)Make some of the most interesting music I've ever heard and I love it. This ep is ambient and experimental you probably won't like it if you just listen to it once but if you listen to it again you'll find it's taken up residence in you soul. don't expect much rhythm or melody or anything conventional like that, you won't get it here apart from on the last to track the perfect needle #4 originally such an epic, brilliant single, back whenever it was, finer than anything done by the velvets who the telescopes seemed to emulate and surpass at that point (sorry I think that might be heresy)but this take is slower and scarier. Anyway I love it all, I want to eat it. If you havn't heard the telescopes before buy the untitled second album first it is an absolute classic, you will not believe your ears, or the fact that the telescopes did not take over the world in 1992.
