Synopsis

Canadian comedian Russell Peters is known for bitingly hilarious stand-up routines that parody racial stereotypes and his South Asian upbringing. This program captures Peters in his own stand-up concert special, OUTSOURCED.

Totally Hilarious, Russell Peters combines a fantastic blend of cultural/historical facts about all people over the world and the funny silimarities we all share. Should be viewed by all young and all, black, white, red or what ever your hair colour is, its for all the family.

4.0 out of 5 stars Original comedian taps more potential than ever before, 7 Mar 2007
Having seen Russell Peters' first DVD, this is clearly a marked improvement. Most of his bigoted opinions have been superseded by intelligent observations using social caricatures, making this the original view-point stand-up comedy set that the previous DVD should have been throughout.

He seems to have read-up a little on Britain and India's 400 year history. Hopefully, he's had a few Indian writers point out to him that his Christian ancestors would probably have been killed off had it not been for the British occupation. Such aspects of social history are seldom uniformly good or bad.

In any case, he's traveled the world now, and it shows.

The only real down point in his performance (to my mind) was the encore, where he blurted out his now trademark piece on modern parenting. If he'd spend another two minutes backstage sitting and drinking some water he may not have ruined it.
