Format: DVD
I have begun watching this boxset..

It contains the following Sister Street Fighter movies:

Sister Street Fighter ('74)
Sister Street Fighter: Hanging by a Thread ('74)
Return of the Sister Street Fighter ('75)
Sister Street Fighter: Fifth Level Fist ('76)

Please note if reviews of all 4 films aren't present here, it's because I haven't got round to watching them all yet.
So this review will be updated as I go along.

Sister Street Fighter ('74).

A young Japanese lady is deputised by the Hong Kong police, so that she might use her considerable Karate skills to smash a seedy ring of scumbag drug villains.
Her brother, also a karate master, who was working for the Hong Kong police prior to her involvement, having mysteriously disappeared whilst investigating them. Presumed KIA.
Soon she comes up against the evil kingpin and his army of psychotic Kung Fu henchmen (all experts in different fields of martial arts), and swiftly realises she is gonna need some help, so goes to a friendly Karate school for some added muscle (and all round good guy cannon fodder). Her sole purpose being to recruit some pals in order to put the drug peddlers to death..!

I hadn't seen this in years.. But here's what we get...
Etsuko Shihomi (aka: Sue Shiomi) ~ wielding a pair of 'chucks like it's International Bruce Lee Day, and going out of fashion.. Fast! Playing the leading lady of the title, who takes no prisoners...
People get smashed to a pulp, battle with medieval martial arts weaponry, bones get shattered, heads get twisted off, there's rape, boozing, eye gougings, fatal blows, car chases, bad flares, gun battles, drug abuse, funky 70s tunes, seedy strip clubs. . .

HASH(0x859dc6fc) out of 5 stars Sister Street Fighter Series Finally Done With Respect. 25 Sept. 2008
By Mr. Yotsuya - Published on Amazon.com
Format: DVD Verified Purchase
I was presently surprised by the job BCI did with their Sister Street Fighter Collection. All 4 of Etsuko Shihomi Sister Street Fighter films are remastered, wide screen, uncensored, and in Japanese with English subtitles. BCI has also included a full color booklet with history on Sister Street Fighter. The 1st 3 Sister Street Fighter films are like a comic book come to life. Etsuko Shihomi's character Koryu Lee fights the most craziest & colorful vilians ever in martial arts film. The 4th film in this collection Sister Street Fighter: Fifth Level Fist is not really a Sister Street Fighter film. Etsuko Shihomi plays a new character Kiku in Fifth Level Fist. Fifth Level Fist does away with the comic book like villians, over the top violence and nudity that are featured in the first three films. Fifth Level Fist with its more reality based story is still a good film in its on way. It is a also good contrast to the other three films.

I'm hopeing BCI releases another boxset set of Etsuko Shihomi films in the future. A boxset containing Dragon Princess,13 Steps of Maki,The Great Chase, and The Second is a Christian would be nice.

Now, I only wished somebody would treat the Sonny Chiba Street Fighter films with as much respect in region 1. Until that happens those with multiregion DVD players can import Optimum's British Sonny Chiba Street Fighter collection.

HASH(0x85892a44) out of 5 stars Excellent value, great box set! 30 Jan. 2010
By B. Ware - Published on Amazon.com

As other reviewers have noted, this is a very well-executed box set collection. The current prices on it from Amazon sellers are a steal. Hopefully if you are looking at this product you are a fan of this genre and appreciate the older movies. If you are, you will love this set. The picture quality is better than most of the previous releases of these films and it is all presented in anamorphic widescreen in Japanese with English subs (although there is an international cast that speaks English at times in Fifth Level Fist). The included booklet is great for fans! I just wanted to add a five star review to bolster what others have already written.

HASH(0x8587c42c) out of 5 stars Good collection remastered! 22 Mar. 2013
By J. D. from Va - Published on Amazon.com

As many of these karate films were cheesy from the beginning it good to see them in there original form without a faded picture and bad dubbing. Just under $10 is a great deal on 4 action packed movies staring the very young (18 an half) and cute Estuko "Sue" Shiomi. Like with most martial arts films of the early days the fight scenes are present from strat to finish although with many of the Japanese flix there is a story line somewhat. Picture quality is also better, The charters that play villains very comic book like with a blend of very good Japanese actors of the time. Subtitles (in english) don't bother me and like said above it make the movies that much better without the dubbing. So sit back and enjoy.

HASH(0x85b8f090) out of 5 stars Female Action Star 28 May 2013
By masterjim - Published on Amazon.com
Format: DVD Verified Purchase
One of the first female action stars, long before Angelina Jolie and Charlie's Angels. Etsuko Shiomi, who is Sonny Chiba's protege, is skilled in kyokushin karate, shorinji kempo, nunchaku, sai, bo, and other weapons plus gymnastics. She does her own stunts being a member of JAC (Japan Action Club), which specializes in stunts, martial arts, car chases and all the dangerous stuff you see in action films. She is a pretty lady that can kick butt! These are the original uncut Japanese version movies. Only one (The Sister Streetfighter) has been released in the U.S., dubbed in English. I have seen these movies in Hawaii, in Japanese with English subtitles before VCRs came out. A classic martial arts film that puts a lot of action films today to shame.

HASH(0x85bef768) out of 5 stars Sister Street Fighter: Return 7 Feb. 2008
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: DVD
I've only seen 'Sister Street Fighter:Return' but wow! What a movie! The action sequences were well done and were simple yet pleasing to the eye. The story line was pretty deep, and moved along nicely. This is one of the best films I've seen in a while and I plan to buy the entire box collection!
