Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

LMA Manager 2007 delivers the series' totally compelling world of football to the new formats in massively expanded editions, with teams from over 50 countries to manage or pick transfers from. The game retains LMA Manager's brilliantly intuitive and user-friendly interface, where every piece of information is no more than a couple of button-presses away, and comes complete with the series' trademark visually rewarding presentation.

Designed by Codemasters' LMA team, now expanded to include a dedicated PC development group, LMA Manager 2007 utilises a new game and database engine to handle more teams, a transfer market system with greater depth for more complex contract negotiations, and a detailed 3D match section that brings the reality and pressures of match day alive.

LMA Manager's pioneering use of a 3D match has become a defining game element for the series' legions of players. Now, the game's enhanced visual engine will make full use of next-generation rendering systems, adding normal mapping, parallax mapping, and realistic lighting effects for even more detail that really brings match day home. The Xbox 360 edition of the game also plays out in glorious widescreen, giving you an even better view of the action.

Seeing your team play out your tactics in detail enables you to make instant decisions based on their play at that very moment, rather than continually referencing a page of stats or blobs floating around a screen.

Plus, the matches are run in real-time, meaning results aren't fixed before the whistle blows; it's about how you react as the game unfolds that can make or break the result. Do you sit back and try to defend a one-nil lead, or do you go all out for the second goal, but risk being hit on the counter-attack? These are the decisions that, for a manager, can make the difference between winning the league and getting the sack.

Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
lma offers a single player game that has 1000 teams to pick from and in the english league it has the premier to the conference.and one of my favourites is the fantasy league that you get a fair amounte of money for the league you are in and you pick your players(all players come to your club when you pick your fantasy team at the start).if you like to watch the match your team is playing then this is the game for you.it has great graphics and a ok ai.if you like playing with your mates then this is'nt the game for you(doesn't have multiplayer).
please rate this reveiw and please look at my other reveiws on xbox 360 games.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't Listen To These Guys!, 11 Jan 2007

Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
Wow, what a game... Compared to the ps2 and xbox games from the past 4 years, this one tops the lot!

Of course lma 2003 for ps2 has to be the best game ever, but meh, this one has more features and all in all is more fun.

Slightly dissapointed at this "STUNNING 3D MATCH ENGINE" it's about as stunning as echo the dolphin... however the goals scored on it are alot more advanced in places.

Signing players is more of a challenge, being Derby County I foun myself struggling to sign players in better leauges, be it on loan or perminant. But it keeps the game realistic.

Downloading transfer stats is the best, as a new update is released after every transfer period =P pretty neat eh?

All in all: hours of fun, frustration and determination... Make sure you dont fork over £30+ for this game as it evedently isn't worth it

£25 tops :D ... chow

2.0 out of 5 stars Lightweight - Truly be cautious about buying, 29 Sep 2006

Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
For those who have not seen the on-line reviews of this game then this is another in the LMA series which continues to adore the "dumbed down" school of football management simulation.

The interface on teh XBOX 360 version is a nightmare, with no back button meaning you have to scroll through menu after menu to find what you want to do and seemingly random decisions made on some placement within the menus. A tedious interface but certainly not the worst element of the game.

The worst element is that it matters not one jot what you do. You can just sit back and watch your team win the league by an insane margin without ever so much as looking at your team roster. If you do choose to look at your roster, change your tactics or even turn up to watch the (soon tedious and repetative) 3D match engine then you can do so safe in the knowledge that even your ball-boys would win pretty much everything on every occasion.

A small notes on the so-called "stunning" 3D engine for matches. For a next-generation console they are nothing short of woeful - I swear I had better on the original Xbox - and certainly nothing to inspire you to sit and watch them game after game.

If you want a football management game then get Championship manager. If you want to simply feel you are superior to the world by having a soccer team that cannot lose then you have two options. You could waste your money on this tedious and embarassing little game or you could simply close your eyes and dream. I'd suggest option two myself...
