Bruce Willis has such an easy wit and charm he is effortlessly sexy with a screen presence yet to be topped and this film shows off his natural talent to grip the audience in his sparkling performance. Ok, so the film is a little surreal in places but the storyline and acting abilities are hard to fault in my opinion. Just because a film goes against the same formulaic tosh that is chucked out year after year and dares to be innovative doesn't mean it is too risky to be any good. This movie is a slice of pure fairytale fantasy that whisks you up in it's glorious storybook land leaving you with that unmistakeable beaming grin of a person thrilled by it's charming beauty.

I find it really ironic that every review on here praises the effeorts ofBruse's pet project, all with exception of Amazon itself. For once thesaying 'The customer is always right' is accually true for once.
Thefilm is fun, slick and as an undenialble charm to it that will have yousinging 'side by side' every morning in the shower.
In the latest edition of Empire this film was rated as one of the top tenfilms that was wrongly slated by the critics. The kind of film that mostlove but are made to think they shouldnt.
In four simple words, I sayto all those critics, 'Whats wrong with it?'

This is by far Bruce's best film where ok he plays himself as a catburglar but its fun its supposed to be fun that is what the critics missed , i know its amazing that American critics may not get sarcasm or satire but there you go it happened .Treat it as a comedy/thriller watch it with friends , drink beer and enjoy it.

Everyone else hates this one, but I kinda like it, not sure why. Maybe because it's a big film, with about ten main bad guys, and you're curious how each of them is gonna die. Can each death be unique? Not all, but most are pretty good. Richard E Grant's is weak, but the old guy on the limo and the butler with the long knives get good send offs.

And the pace of the plot is really something...you just cannot be bored during this movie, it's impossible.

Hudson Hawk has just been released from ten years of prison and is planning to spend the rest of his life honestly.

But then a crazy couple called the Mayflowers blackmail him to steal some of the works of Leonardo da Vinci, as they carry the secret to mass fortune.

If he refuses, they threaten to kill his friend Tommy....

First thing you need to know about this movie is if you don't like Bruce Wilis in smirk mode turned up to eleven, you will hate this.

If you want one of the most daring, original summer blockbusters ever made, then this is for you.

The reason that this is original, is because it was one of the big releases in 1991 behind T2 and Robin Hood, and it has one of the strangest narratives I have ever seen.

And I fell in love with he film because I just went with it. Yes there is cheesy singing and people falling from one building and landing in another, but isn't this a Bruce Willis vanity product?.

apart from the fashion, Haircuts and earrings, the film has aged well, and even though the jokes are stale, you cannot help but to sit and watch it in all it's entirety.

I've yet to meet anyone else who actually likes this film (or admit to it), but it's fun, over the top and just tongue in cheek all the way.

Mr Willis at his funny best, if your looking for a strong story line don't bother watching, but if your a fan of humour and Bruce Willis you can't lose, he's witty and gorgeous and has a good cast to back him up. Look for the scene on the couch when they have been paralysed - hilarious
